HEALTHY LIVING

DIET AND NUTRITION

Meat Eating vs Vegetarian

A "Raw Food" diet is a without a doubt the healthiest eating choice an individual can make. It not only provides the positive impact of a vegetarian diet, but also possesses the benefits of a vegan diet while at the same time avoiding the loss of nutrients and the addition of toxins from heat, cooking, processing or preserving. In other words, it is the purest of all diets, particularly when the raw food diet is comprised only from organic fruits and vegetable. It is the diet that we all evolved from; it is the diet that all the animals closest to us on the food chain instinctively maintain.

The human body was never and will never be designed to eat meat. A study of physiology makes this matter a complete certainty. In fact, when one examines the overwhelming evidence of how human beings are comprised, the arguments in favor of meat eating literally provide laughable content.

Let me quickly run though a comparison of carnivores (meat eaters) vs. herbivores (plant eaters):

Carnivores all have acidic blood, urine and bodily fluids
Herbivores all have alkaline blood, urine and bodily fluids
(Human blood, urine and bodily fluids are the most alkaline of any creature)
Carnivores all have intestinal tracts 3-4 times their body length
Herbivores all have intestinal tracts 6-8 times their body length
(Humans have intestinal tracts 10-12 times their body length: the longest of any creature)

Why is this? Ever smell putrefying meat? How safe is it?

Carnivores need to extract the nutrients and expel the waste through their system quickly.
Carnivores all have long snouts, canine teeth and claws for tearing flesh
Herbivores all flat faces, flat teeth and digits on their extremities to pick food
(Humans have some of the flattest faces, the softest, flattest teeth and the most functional digits in their hands of any creature)

Finally, as you progress up the food chain ladder and you look at the animals most similar in composition, physiology and DNA to the human species, you will find them all to be herbivores, and higher developed herbivores at that! I ask you, why would Mother Nature, in all her glorious wisdom, evolve all of the higher functioning, higher intellect, higher performing creatures to a diet, instinct and physiology of a herbivore and then play some sort of dirty trick and reverse the trend with humans? If you logically can answer that one than I have a role for you in the sequel movie Bruce Almighty II.

RAW vs COOKED AND WHY?

So now that we have concluded that a vegetarian diet is the true choice for those of us who want our bodies so operate always at or near peak performance, the next question becomes... cooked or raw?

Again, lets go back to the basics? We know for a fact that heat destroys things. No big revelation there. Heat can change the elements, the chemical composition of any item. Heat kills, and it kills without prejudice. On one hand if there were harmful bacteria, parasites, fungus and even virus present, heat can destroy them. While on the other hand, our body often needs certain helpful bacteria that can also be killed in the cooking process. A simple rule of thumb concerning body microorganisms is that aerobic (oxygen breathing) organisms are generally helpful to our bodies while anaerobic (non-oxygen breathing) microorganisms are generally harmful to us. We also know that oxygen, the body's most plentiful and desirable element, is quickly consumed by heat and therefore heat kills helpful oxygen saturated foods and microorganisms.

Secondly, heat and/or processing kills enzymes. Enzymes are defined as a protein molecule in a plant or animal that act as catalysts to regulate the speed of the many chemical reactions involved in the metabolism of living organisms . The very fact that enzymes are destroyed by heat above 118 ° , means that cooking destroys all the life giving properties, or metabolic reactions, that the food initially offered. The heat may alter nutrients; it definitely kills the enzymes and it definitely kills all the microorganisms. Now, for those of you who want to ensure that the food is clear of any potential digestible hazard, there are wash techniques and "soaks" that can accomplish this goal without harming the positive microorganisms.

Lastly, lets again go back to Mother Nature's evolutionary chain. The animals closest to humans do not cook any of their food. The animals furthest away do not cook their food. In fact no animal cooks it food other than humans. So why would it make sense for humans to develop/evolve over billions of years on raw food at every species level until we establish the ultimate creature on the planet earth (humans), and then decide to start cooking our food sources and potentially alter all of the positive developments of evolution? Is mankind actually smarter than Mother Nature in her infinite wisdom?

So in conclusion, if you accept the basic premise of Darwin's Theory of Evolution, you by the vary nature of your argument, you must hold to the beliefs that "evolution" and "survival of the fittest" have lead to the most highly developed creatures on the planet... us, otherwise known as human beings. You must therefore also subscribe to the theory that Nature has provided all the proper components for this evolutionary progression with the ultimate balanced diet from perfectly pre-packaged raw fruits and vegetables that are all readily available on this planet. If this were not true, how else could these packaged raw fuel and nutrient fruits and vegetables allow a one-cell organism to eventually evolve into a human being? This begs one final question, since we as humans, have reached the peak, the pinnacle, the summit of natural development, who are we to now mess with Nature's perfect recipe?" Is there a logical answer to that question?

CONCLUSION

Millions of people worldwide have transitioned from meat eating diets to various degrees of vegetarian living. The choices are endless but the results are always universal. Just as the highest performing automobile runs on the premise of good fuel, a clean efficient exhaust system and the lowest possible levels of friction. Human beings are no different. A great diet will provide additional and higher quality nutrients, enzymes and oxygen. It will significantly reduce the levels of waste that remain in the body, which can lead to autointoxication and the onset of disease. This occurs because of a reduction in the consumption of toxins combined with the improved efficiencies of many of the body's most important metabolic processes. When the body is running more efficiently and with less waste, the lubricating fluids, namely blood (designed to transport oxygen and nutrients and to eliminate waste) and lymphatic fluids will operate cleaner and with less friction. A quality diet will help transform us into a high performance engine, i.e. long lasting with lots of power.
